I have vast practical experience and therefore an extensive network of contacts within the tourism sector. I book services such as accommodation, local transport and guides in accordance with your preferred budget. I have stayed at most of the selected hotels myself, and have worked closely with the local guides I recommend. I also advise on restaurants, places of interest to visit such as museums and galleries, and can provide summary background notes which I write myself, specially tailored to your individual itinerary and destinations. I've personally led tours in Europe and sometimes further afield and speak several languages. As well as accompanying groups to some of Europe's landmark cities such as London, Paris, Rome, Vienna and Berlin, I've also led tours to less familiar but equally rewarding destinations such as Northern Portugal and the Moselle wine growing region in Germany. Many tours act as a memorable 'taster' introduction to Europe - but I have also set up and accompanied in-depth specialised programmes variously focusing on opera, chamber music, winetasting, theatre, history of art or archaeology, and often combining many of these elements.
